What a Day!
Your face will tell it all! If your day has been disastrous or marvelous, your face will surely show it when you say, “What a day this has been!”
Good morning my brothers and sisters and Hallelujah! That’s the bird concerto! Or maybe the bird concerto is “Hallelu, hallelu, hallelu, hallelujah…Praise Ye the Lord!” Joy comes in the morning!!
Its three o’clock in the morning and my heart is rejoicing and the song that plays in my head is, “What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see. And I look upon His face the One who saved me by His grace! When He takes me by the hand and leads me through the Promised Land. What a day glorious day that will be!”
For most people the day has not even begun, but sometimes for me the night has not yet come. Although I have rested, sometimes my mind continues to ponder or think. There are times I have to ask Papa, “Please still my thoughts so I can rest!” It seems right now I am in a season of unrest.
What has the Corona done to the lives of so many? Such fear tells me that the peace of the Lord is missing along with the true aspect of fear. Fear should only be in reverence to Almighty God.
The governing power of the kingdom of the world has truly taken over or influenced the actions and heart of so many individuals. A simple stimulus check has been a great negative impact to ones with addictions or untrained use of money. Masks on the face are being mandated and how healthy can that be? People have isolated themselves from people for fear of the virus. Churches are opening up but with great restrictions especially in regards to children. Really?! Is that our God speaking? Clearly we need to lean in a bit closer to hear His voice!
How many lives are going to be forever lost because we have closed the doors to worship? Oh yes, I know, “We are the church!” We do not need to gather together in a building because Jesus resides in me! But what about the ones that Satan has a hold of? Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love you neighbor as yourself.’Matthew 22:37-39
Jesus said, “If you love me…stay in your houses, keep away from gathering to worship, live fearful of a virus you may possibly get…!” NO! No!! NO!!! Jesus said, “If you love me, FEED MY SHEEP!!John 21:15-19
How are we doing with that? Throw some food to those who are in need…don’t get too close! Give some money and let the world dictate the use. Justifying our actions to make us feel better does not make us righteous as we stand before the Lord.
Do you know that the dandelion opens at the warm rays of the sun? So true is the hearts that hunger and thirst for the Lord. When we develop a sixth sense, the sense of getting into the presence of the Lord, the rays of the Son will open us up to true and full life. Jesus said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”John 10
Abundant life is not a life without problems but life to the fullest knowing that one day…as the song speaks, “There’s coming a day when no heartaches shall come No more clouds in the sky No more tears to dim the eye All is peace forever more on that happy golden shore what a day, glorious day that will be. What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see!!”
Paul says, “For me to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for “you”(quotes my addition) that I remain in the body.”Phil. 1:21-24
Paul is not looking to himself, but to those God had given him to nurture and plant seeds of faith, seeds that would produce good fruit.
If you are basking in the Son, there is no way your spirit can be content without the Holy Spirit drawing you out to share Jesus’ love. Loving one another means also loving God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. You cannot love God completely unless you ultimately love (which is action not passiveness) your neighbor. And who is your neighbor? Look up Luke 10:25-37.
My day is already rejoicing in the blessings of the Son as I step out in faith to wash the feet of my neighbor. How is your day going to begin and transcend?
Father, thank You for protecting us from the fear of this world and help us to be united with the Holy Spirit to take the light of Christ into the life of someone today. As we allow Your Son to penetrate into our hearts we truly will open up to the beauty You have planted in us. Just as the yellow dandelion opens to the sun and displays such beauty to the eyes, may we be beautiful to Your eyes! Thanks for blessing us abundantly today! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
